Grace Children’s Ministry News for May 2008

Hand in Hand” Capital Campaign
We will be creating a keepsake that will be made by each child during Sunday School or Super Church the weekends of May 3rd and 4th, and May 10th and 11th. This keepsake will be something that will be displayed in the church. We hope that the children will attend Sunday School or Super Church at least one or both of those weekends.
We wish to thank the children and their families who donated homemade goodies for the bake sale for the “Hand in Hand” capital campaign. The bake sale was a huge success!!!
We also wish to thank the following children and youth who helped during the puppet skit for the children/youth weekend on April 19th and 20th. Puppeteers were Emma & Rebecca Moore, Janelle and Jacob Moss, and Chad Rairdon. Chad Rairdon also read the scripture and did the prayer on 4/19. Josh Bowman read the scripture and did the prayer on 4/20.

Congratulations
Nikita and Britney Klotzsche have raised over $1000 in their “pennies for pets” campaign for the Johnson County Humane Society—Way to go girls!

Sunday School/Super Church Teachers
We wish to thank the following Sunday School/Super Church teachers for their help during the Month of April :
Jim Roseman, Amy Bennett, Holly Miller, Ricci Warwick, and Sandy Pietras.

Want to help end World Hunger?
Then go to www.freerice.com. This website is for anyone who wants to improve his or her vocabulary skills and help the hungry at the same time. When you get the definition of a word correct, 20 grains of rice are added to the rice bowl and the rice is donated by the United Nations World Food Program to those countries in need. You can watch the rice being distributed and you can get more information on where it is distributed on the website. Ability levels are adjusted based on correct answers. I’m hooked!
